Today, we went out on what was supposed to be a manager’s play day. We were hiking, but then we got the call that we could go out and help with birds that were affected by the recent Cosco Busan oil spill in the San Francisco bay. Of course we re-focused our energy to go work for the bird people.
It felt much like being at work…we schlepped boxes from point A to B, then to C when it was appropriate. We also did dishes, washed floors, and did bird laundry. Some of the laundry instructions were…curious.
All in all, it was a good day of helping them clean out their facility after all the work they did helping to put clean and rehabbed birds back out into the environment.
