I worked the back-breaker shift today. 5pm to 1am…we’re doing a floor move, where we prep for the fall/winter season by rearranging departments. And then I head back tomorrow, to work at 9am. This is an improvement over the original shift I was supposed to work, which started at 7am. /me dies
Despite this, I managed to talk on the phone to no less than five people in the first hour I was at work. Oh I’m a busy little bee. Two of those calls were actually work related! And then I got paid to talk to Audrey for about 30 minutes, which is excellent. Even more excellent as the last time I heard Audrey’s voice was probably close to four years ago. Whee! (Yes, it’s true, all the old friends are crawling out of the woodwork.) She’s still fabulous. I must head out to Vermont soon. She’s a-gonna be a doctor!
Yesterday, Bryan and I *finally* got our DVD storage rack from IKEA. (Click to see a pic…the one on the left.) IKEA has been holding out on us…we’ve been trying to buy this rack for six months now. This time, we tricked IKEA. We didn’t go to buy that; we’ve long since given up on it. Instead, we went for table legs, which were out of stock. Oh! But the DVD rack was there! Clearly we outsmarted IKEA! HA!
